with the success and continued interest from #sustainablesundays, i decided to host a natural tie dye workshop with my friends. in a way, this was the first time i saw my little project come to life. it was a moment in which i lead people though the process of natural dyeing and took my practice from instagram stories into * irl * education. my friends bianca and camila hosted the event, we learned about red cabbage dye, how to modify the ph of a dye bath, and then (on the hottest day of summer 105º) went outside onto their patio for the tie dye portion of the workshop. everyone was so enthusiastic and eager to learn, the energy felt incredible, and the megan thee stallion playing on the speakers helped.
